My Order Doesn't Look Right: Quality Issues & What to Do

If your Pro Lab order has a quality concern — colours, blurriness, damage, or wrong item — this guide helps you identify the cause and the right steps to take.

If your Pro Lab order has arrived and something doesn't look right — colours seem off, print quality seems poor, or the product isn't what you expected — this guide will help you identify what happened and what steps to take.

First — identify the type of issue

If you believe there is a production quality issue

If the print appears genuinely defective — streaks, banding, incorrect colour cast across the whole image, or binding defects not caused by a design choice — please contact our support team within 1–2 days of receiving the order.

  • Attach clear photos of the issue in natural daylight (no flash, no filters)
  • Include a brief description of what you expected vs. what arrived

Each case is reviewed individually by our team. We'll assess the photos alongside your order's production records and respond within 2–3 business days.

What is NOT considered a quality defect

Some results that customers find surprising are caused by decisions made during the design process — not by printing errors:

  • Colour difference between screen and print — screens are backlit; prints reflect light. Some variance is always expected.
  • Blurry print from a low-resolution photo — if the editor showed a yellow or red warning before checkout and you proceeded, this is a design choice.
  • Cropped subjects or cut-off text — if the preview showed the same crop, this was approved during proofing.
  • Typos or text errors in the design
  • Change of mind about size, product, or cover after delivery
💡 Use our Pre-Order Quality Checklist before every order to catch potential issues before production begins.
