Modifying or Cancelling Your Order Before Production

Pro Lab order modification window — what you can change in the first 0–2 hours, what cannot be modified after production starts, and cancellation policy.

You have a limited window to modify your order before production begins. Once production starts (typically within 4 hours of payment), most changes are no longer possible because every Pro Lab product is custom-made.

What can be modified (if within the window)

Allowed modifications at the Order Received stage

  • Shipping address — change delivery location
  • Mobile number — update contact info

Cannot be modified once ordered

  • Page count — cannot add or remove pages
  • Book size — cannot change dimensions
  • Cover type — cannot switch cover styles
  • Paper finish — cannot change glossy to matte
  • Binding type — cannot switch photo book to layflat
  • Add promo code — if you forgot to apply
  • Design changes — fix typos, swap photos

Reason: These are structural elements built into manufacturing from the start.

Cancellation policy

Once ordered, custom-made products cannot be cancelled or refunded. Production begins shortly after payment to maintain Pro Lab's fast turnaround promise.

How to request an urgent modification

Step 1: Contact support immediately

Step 2: Provide order details

  • Order number
  • Registered email or phone
  • Exact modification needed
  • Reason for change

Step 3: Wait for confirmation

  • Support checks the production status
  • If production hasn't started, the modification is approved
  • You'll receive confirmation by email or phone

Pro tips to avoid needing modifications

  • Always review the project before ordering
  • Double-check the shipping address at checkout
  • Verify all text for typos using spell-check
  • Show the preview to your spouse or family for approval
  • Apply promo codes during checkout (not after)
  • Save the design and come back next day with fresh eyes before ordering

What if my order is already in production?

We understand mistakes happen. If you spot an error after production has started, contact support@prolab.in — while we can't change the order, we can advise on next steps and may offer a discount on a corrected reorder.
